Brother Daniel at age 95, has raised a whole lot of other people's children. As far as I know, he never had any of his own, but many a person has told me how he raised them up from orphans. Daniel is usually the first one to arrive at the Bible studies. He gets there alone with a stick that he uses to guide himself. He has lost most of his sight and hearing yet he always shows up for the studies. This is a man who after 92 years of life decided that he needed Jesus. It was the love of the Lord that changed him. I have no doubt that the Lord Jesus had this dear brother in His heart since before time began. It's always such a blessing to see how he "perks up" when I call him "Tocayo" (the nickname used for anyone having the same name as yourself). He is one of the gentle ones that make it a joy to know Jesus and to be a part of His body! So, the next time you feel tired and don't want to make it to the Bible study, remember Hermano Daniel looking twice a week for the church building and still getting there ahead of the ones who have no problems hearing and seeing!
