Rancho Maranatha Outreach Possibilities

It has been said that "If a picture is worth a thousand words, one day in the mission field is worth a thousand pictures."

Jesus Christ has commanded us to: "Go ye into all the world, and preach the Gospel to every creature."  Mark 16:15  In addition, He said, "If you love Me, you will keep my commandments."  John 14:15

The #1 focus of Rancho Maranatha is to make disciples throughout the region sharing the love of Christ Jesus.

Currently, there are eighteen Bible studies held each week in various locations in the area surrounding the ranch.

At any given time, there are always projects which are being worked on — new construction, repairing the facilities, painting, clearing the brush or just hanging out with the children are needs which can be met on a short-term mission outreach to the Ranch.  These photos show the progress that has been made on a new house that was badly needed at the Rancho.

As you can see, there is still much that needs to be done.  Adequate housing is critical for the Rancho.  There is such a great need for foster homes for unwanted, displaced or abused children in their area.  The more housing space they can build, the more children they can help.

If you believe the Lord is urging you to a short-term mission outreach, please contact Pastor Daniel Jones via email first.  He can advise you what projects are currently underway and the needs which are being addressed.  Ministries to Mexico can also assist you in the details of an outreach.  They organize and facilitate several outreach missions to Rancho Maranatha each year.  You can email Ministries to Mexico at "Outreach to Rancho Maranatha."

Paul and Ruth are shown above with several of the children who they are helping to care for.  There are also outreach mission possibilities for those who own recreational vehicles.  Over the years, several RVer's from the states have gone to the Rancho for differing lengths of time and helped with various projects.  If you have specific questions in this regard, please contact Paul and Ruth via their email.

If you decide to participate in an outreach mission to Rancho Maranatha, be prepared to have the Lord touch your heart like never before.  A small group from Montana came down to the Rancho in early 2001.

At the time. we were caring for twin boys who were extremely cross-eyed.  The Montana team set about to raise funds to have the boys operated on to correct their eyes and ultimately, their vision.  In October of 2001, the surgery was successfully completed!

Today, they are such handsome little fellows!  Their eyesight is vastly improved and they are cuter than ever.  As they near school age, they should have no problems being able to see and learn with the rest of the children.

This is just one instance of God's handiwork at Rancho Maranatha.  We invite you to come and experience a taste of the goodness of the Lord for yourselves.  If you do not have the time to spend on a short-term outreach, please pray for us.  Your prayers do make a difference.
